A domain that has long been part of the corporate sphere for purposes such as marketing, social media is also an invaluable security tool. Its ease of use and huge user base means that many employees are already skilled in its application, and can easily transfer this knowledge to its usage in the security sphere. Social media such as Twitter allows everyone to communicate quickly and on a large scale, enabling fast dissemination of information and instructions regarding security threats.
